Delusion

As my fingertips caress the hatred cast  in the letters,Reason beckons me.
The dark room fills up with the screams of past indulgences and my eyes alight on your sins and follies.
And yet, despite Reason screaming at me and pelting sanity at me, I give up the inner struggle and find myself escaping into the futile search of finding tiny vestiges of love in the barbed words.
The human heart is prone to delusions that can be taken care of.
But what of the delusions we craft for ourselves in order to enable us to smile?
